What do you value most about working in the GFF? Transcript

What do I value most about working in government finance? The people. I look forward to working with my team and the wider network to solve any problems which come our way and to find improved and more efficient ways of working so that we can provide the best possible service to our stakeholders.

It is the closest I will get to becoming or being a superhero out there, working for the public, working for both myself and everyone as taxpayers to ensure that we are getting everything we can from the resources that we have. It's the idea of just working in public service.

It's really difficult for me to pick something that I value most in the Government Finance Function community because genuinely I don't think there is a better place to work. If I had to pick, it would probably be the people who I work with every single day. They are fantastic. Their financial expertise is incredible. Their knowledge, the diversity which they bring, and the ideas which they bring to our work is incredible, and I don't think the Government Finance Function would be what it is if it wasn't for the great people that work within it.
