What is the GFF? Transcript

The Government Finance Function is the large community of all the public finance professionals who work in government, and we do all kinds of things from publishing the accounts to overseeing budgets, to supporting really important decisions about where we spend taxpayers' money.

I would describe the Government Finance Function as a cross government collaboration. It's a network for strengthening links between finance functions. It offers opportunities to share knowledge and best practice and help finance professionals solve problems.

I would describe GFF to someone who's never heard of it as being this group of like-minded individuals who have a shared common goals, um, shared values, and this array of technical and soft skills who are all supporting some of the biggest decisions we have across the country.
