My name's Ngoc.

I'm a Senior Finance Business Partner working at Cafcass, which stands for Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Services. When I, I got to know the Government Finance Function, I suddenly found a big family waiting for me there.

Learning is very important, so I really treasure that opportunity to get to know other people who, who do similar things and learn from them. As a community, we receive a regular newsletter called the Finance Matters. It highlights all the exciting events and news and blogs, but also I use that newsletter to book a lot of training, workshops for myself, but I also share that with my colleagues in my finance team.

I work with a lot of numbers. The number of children that we support is 140,000 children every year. The strengths in numbers means for me that I have to use financial data, financial information wisely, and use insights from those number to help with the decision making and make their life better.

I really enjoy the work that I'm doing day in, day out. I work in collaboration with colleagues in policy teams or HR or IT, I just try play a part in making the life of those children easier and better so that they can have a better future. So I'm very proud to be a member of the Government Finance Function.
